Is this totally awesome or a sign that a band is getting way too big?
Everyone’s favorite, female-fronted metal band is currently busy ripping up stages worldwide but somehow found time to make a new DVD. The easy assumption would be calling this a collection of music videos or a live concert. Quite the contrary. Iwrestledabearonce actually made a movie. That’s right – they’re acting.
The film is a horror-comedy (shocker, right?) featuring the band as the cast, as well as a few friends from other groups and even an appearance by Jake Busey. The film follows Shreddy, a guitarist from a fictional 80’s metal band, White Vulture, as he eliminates the musical competition by offing members from rival bands one at a time.
A Beary Scary Movie comes out on November 6th, via Century Media. Pre-order bundle packages are currently available on Iwrestledabearonce’s website. Packages include mixtures of the DVD, posters, t-shirts and wristbands. Of course, you can buy just the DVD for $12.99 too.
